The portraits of Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah have been missing from the Prime Minister House and Presidential House as blogger Farhan spotted it first and reported as “The terrible Blunder at the presidency”. Later on Aly B reported in as “Pakistan – No Longer A Living Monument Of The Quaid?”, Teeth Maestro as “Zardari throws out Quaid-e-Azam from the Presidency”. Afterwards it was revealed by The News and Geo TV.

In the first four months after assuming the presidency last September, he made nine foreign trips costing Rs150m. He took off within a week of taking oath. This matter is a serious one and cannot be ignored. The country is in flames, hundreds of thousands are being uprooted from their homes in the north because of the army action in the Malakand division, the Taliban are retaliating and an economic meltdown is looming large.

Research by the BBC Urdu’s service into the growing strength of Taliban militants in north western Pakistan shows that only 38% of the area remains under full government control.
It was based on local research and correspondent reports as well as conversations with officials. It shows the Taliban strengthening their hold across the north-west.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s great grandson and family got warm welcome on arrival at Benazir Bhutto International Airport after their first-ever air travel. People, especially political workers and civil society representatives, turned up in large numbers.
