davidmorgan_narrowweb__300x3960It will be disappointing news after a grand victory of T 20 World Cup by Pakistan; people were expecting to hear something to rejoice about from ICC regarding their rights of 14 fixtures in World Cup 20011. But the efforts ended in a smoke and International Cricket Council president David Morgan announced that Matches in the 2011 World Cup due to be staged in Pakistan will not take place in the United Arab Emirates, Instead, the 14 fixtures will, despite the wishes of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), take place in the three subcontinent co-host nations of India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

iccThe role of ICC with Asian teams especially Pakistan has been not so sound whether it is the decision of Oval Test or Umpire Darrel hare. The recent up setting decision was stripping off the rights of Pakistan as world cup 2011 co host, for which PCB had issued a legal notice to ICC. I had written in previous articles the detail.

In the first official response to the ICC’s decision to exclude Pakistan from hosting the 2011 World Cup, the Pakistan board has issued a legal notice to cricket’s governing body, calling the decision to do so discriminatory and “legally flawed.”
