The mystery of Pakistan Taliban Commander Baitullah Mehsud’s death is still unresolved. The reports are getting confused day in and day out. Pakistani agencies are ‘claiming’ that ‘he is dead’ while international media is not clear in its proclamation. Commander Hakimullah Mehsud had declared reports of the Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud’s, death three days ago in U.S Drone attack on a house in South Waziristan were “ridiculous”.

The militant commander, the leader of Tehreek e Taliban (Abdullah Mehsud Group), known as Qari Zainuddin, had recently given statements to the media opposing Baitullah Mehsud. He has been assassinated by unidentified gunmen in the north-western town of Dera Ismail Khan.

A loud explosion has been heard near the office of Rescue-15 here on Saturday.
Two policemen were killed after a young man carried out a suicide attack against Rescue 15, a police helpline unit, in the federal capital on Saturday. At least four other policemen were injured. The attack on the Rescue 15 in Sector G-8, 10 days after the one in Lahore last month, took place around 8.35pm, barely 24 hours after a bomb blast in a mosque in Dir, NWFP.
