The talented duo of Mohammad Shabbir and Mohammad Munir engraved their names in the country’s history books by guiding Pakistan to its first Mission Hills Golf World Cup after finishing in the top three at the Asian qualifiers in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. It has been a great moment for the golfers and all golf lovers who can now see their country in Golf World Cup.
‘Pakistan has played in the cricket, hockey and squash World Cups, but never before in our history had we featured in golf’s World Cup. Still we made our presence felt here and, hopefully, we will be able to perform well in China, too,’ said delighted Munir, who plays on the Asian Tour.

After suffering a drought for almost two years, people of Dedh Sarh village of District Tharparkar will finally be able to breathe easy as they have stored enough water for 10 months, if not a whole year, during the rainy season. This has been made possible by a pilot rainwater harvesting project set up by the Sukaar Foundation, a local non-governmental organization.

To mark Independence day celebrations this year on Social media Pakistanis unite to make it to the top of trending topics of the world’s famous Micro blogging site, Twitter. It was initiated by the GO GREEN Campaign and after the success of #PakCricket hash tag during the finals of T20 World Cup, won by Pakistan earlier this year. More than 7500 people turn their Display images painted GREEN with flags of Pakistan and show their love and unity towards the homeland. Farhan Masood and his volunteer team on Twitter helped people to turn their images green. It is surely an effort to portray a positive and non violent image of Pakistan globally.TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE is the message of this ongoing #Pakistan Go Green E rally via Face book and Twitter.

People take decades to make their mark in the world, but, making history merely in 18 years of one’s life is no joke. The entire world was astounded when Ali Moeen Nawazish, an ordinary boy performed extraordinarily by securing 22 “A” grades one B and one C out of 24 subjects in A-level exams. For this outstanding achievement, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, bestowed on him the ‘Pride of Performance Award’.
