Firdaus Ashiq Awan Abused Kashmala Tariq – Is this Sovereign Democracy?
During a talk show on Express TV federal minister for population welfare Dr. Firdaus Ashiq Awan has played the role of ‘Maula Jutt’ and literally bulldoze poor PML-Q parliamentarian Kashmala Tariq. Dr. Firdaus has used language which I was ashamed to hear being a woman myself. It should not be the caliber of a woman and a parliamentarian to talk such rubbish against anyone whether in parliament or any public platform. Self respect and dignity should always be there with a woman whenever she gets engaged in some kind of discussions but she forget all manners and started abusing until the end of program.
Is this the sovereign parliament and flourishing democracy? On behalf of every Pakistani woman I would like to register my protest through this post about such rash behavior and language. It is indeed not the true face of Pakistan. People like her should be given strict punishment by the party and government and strict action against her remarks should be ordered to avoid such mishaps in future.
When inquired about the incident by a TV anchor Dr. Firdaus showed her grievance regarding her name being written without the tag of Doctor as reported by Rehan. Rather than apologizing on her irrational language and behavior she again used the same language and showed that when you are in power no body can question you.

It is a condemnable act by PPP legistrator. I think the anchor person Mr. Javed Choudhry is equally responsible for this incident. He could stop Ms Ashiq but he did not, rather he provoked and let her badmouth against Kashmala. It is an open secret that Javed Choudhry is a dead supporter of Nawaz Sharif. He stops his PPP or PML(Q) guests from criticizing PML(N) but provokes PML(N) guests to condemn and criticize against PPP and PML(Q). In this case he let malign two women each other who belong to opponent parties of Mr Nawaz Sharif. He is serving his master Mr. Nawaz Sharif at his best on the cost of his professional credibility.
As the Express channel is concerned it also played the promo repeatedly and telecasted the program twice to make money.

Earlier it was some male lawyer who indulged in abuse fest.. then some law minister now we have female members following suit.. such jaahils are minister..

This is the true face of Pakistani Democracy. These elected leaders and so called democratic parties do not deserve to have the reigns of Pakistan in their hands.
Throughout our history we have witnessed such ignorance from these people. We can wonder how these people fare when they get power in their hands.
We all know that no action will be taken against this woman. She wont be charged or tried only because she belongs to a ruling party.
In a matter of time small things like these will add up and simmer to the point that another Army takeover would be welcomed.
All praise to Kashmala for bearing all this with patience. She has shown true strength of character.
I am not at all shocked to hear these words from the so called leaders. People sitting in the assembly consider themselves as the masters of the nation rather than considering themselves the servants. If democracy ends up here then we don’t require democracy. A good dictator is far better than this kind of democracy.
A woman like Dr. Firdaus do not deserve any position in any institution what so ever. She even lost her dignity and character as a lady.
The current government, in order to retain its respect among civil society, must drop her out from her current position immediately as she do not deserve it.

Firdaus has shown her class. There are some more politicians who are so cheap. One example is Babar Ghauri and Haider Abbas Rizivi of MQM. they always talk about personal life of Imran Khan instead of the issues.
Javed Choudhry is a stupid anchor,does not know how to conduct a debate.One thing for sure he sure pleased his lousy boss.
No doubt firdaus has shown her class but kashmala’s class is also visible now lolZzZ
