The talented duo of Mohammad Shabbir and Mohammad Munir engraved their names in the country’s history books by guiding Pakistan to its first Mission Hills Golf World Cup after finishing in the top three at the Asian qualifiers in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. It has been a great moment for the golfers and all golf lovers who can now see their country in Golf World Cup.
‘Pakistan has played in the cricket, hockey and squash World Cups, but never before in our history had we featured in golf’s World Cup. An overwhelming majority of Pakistanis favor punishing former President Pervez Musharraf for his unconstitutional act of imposing emergency in November 2007, according to a new survey. The poll conducted by Gallup Pakistan, 52 per cent of Pakistanis supported harsh punishment for Musharraf and 19 percent supported mild punishment. After suffering a drought for almost two years, people of Dedh Sarh village of District Tharparkar will finally be able to breathe easy as they have stored enough water for 10 months, if not a whole year, during the rainy season. When beginning the fast- Sehar

وَبِصَوْمِ غَدٍ نَّوَيْتَ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

Wa bisawmi ghadinn nawaiytu min shahri ramadan

I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan

When breaking the fast- Iftar

اللَّهُمَّ اِنِّى لَكَ صُمْتُ وَبِكَ امنْتُ [وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ] وَعَلَى رِزْقِكَ اَفْطَرْتُ

In almost all Parts of the globe the graceful month of Ramadan has set in (in Pakistan it will commence from 23rd August); the month, during which the gates of Mercy are wide open, the gates of Hell are shut and the Shayateen are chained up. It is a month chosen by Allah (swt) as a month of fasting; an act of Ibadat that Allah (swt) made special to Him.
